- Get an AdSpeed (from ICD) I don't think they're made any longer, but they
- provide about 2-3X spped increase and merely plug into the CPU socket
- and don't splash over to interfere with other items like MEGACHIP.
-
- AdSpeed is a 14 MHz MC6800, with a cache, not all operations are accelerated
- but most are. They were commonly used on A1000, A500 and A2000's. I have
- one and am very pleased. It's been compatible with all the software
- my A500 was compatible with, and it's easy to software disable if necessary.
- It's still in use with WB3.1 today.
-
- A polite "WTB ICD AdSpeed" in CSA.marketplace should get you some offers.
- I paid CAD$99.00 (used) for mine about 3-4 years ago. Prices should have
- fallen since then.
